Life Out Loud Films LLC announces Lake Effects production in 2010
Earlier this week we pointed you to a story about a movie project proposed to be shot in and around Smith Mountain Lake. Today we received word the project, tentatively called Lake Effects, has been greenlit, even if it wasn’t the timing they had hoped for, as well as an additional documentary about the area.

We’re choosing to be prudent, Timmins said. We are responsible to our investors and this community at large. Without a doubt, the best course of action is to reset to 2010, she said.
The additional time allows us to secure name talent to more roles, gather more resources and immerse ourselves in the community, Timmins added.
In addition to the Lake Effects feature, Life Out Loud Films LLC also plans to expand the development of a separate documentary centered on Smith Mountain Lake and Southwest Virginia.
Timmins said all current investors, crew and talent who had originally signed on to the project have each committed to remain a part of Lake Effects.
